Erik is a certified AMGA Ski Guide, is Avalanche Professional Level 2 (the highest level of avalanche certification in the USA), is an American Avalanche Association Professional Member, and is a certified Wilderness First Responder.

He began skiing 35 years ago and has never lost his passion for the art of the sport. Skiing has been a lifelong passion that began with public school night programs at Bolton Valley, Vermont. Erik spent three years as a ski instructor and has an affinity for freeriding. The Wasatch Wiggle is difficult for him to integrate! As a hobby, Erik likes to put together ski edits. Check out his YouTube channel.

Trail and alpine running is another lifelong passion for Erik, nearing 4 decades of experience. While he stepped back from competition, his climbing and running skills combine to help lead, pace, and route find for those training for a running event or just want to get out and run from the forests to the alpine.
